Wisma Atria: Bringing Shoppers Exciting Gastronomic & Lifestyle Experiences

Back in late September, I was invited to The First-Ever WAmazing Race at Wisma Atria where Kiyoko and I pitted against other teams to search for five checkpoints and completed the tasks in the shortest possible time.

A familiar mall along Orchard Road, Wisma Atria has a line-up of exciting culinary concepts and lifestyle retail offerings as part of the mall’s continuous efforts to enhance its shoppers' experience and the WAmazing Race's challenges revolved around these retailers!

The first stop was in FitFlop, located at Level 1, and our challenge was to spot a pair of particular sandals among their range of ergonomic sandals, shoes, and boots that involve world-class design, a splash of fashion and a continuous innovating mix of beauty, brains and top-notch biomechanics. I quite like the sandals, it would be something I would see myself wearing.

The second stop was at Joe & the Juice. This contemporary Danish cafe offers a funky and healthy packed experience to shoppers grabbing a breakfast bite or a lunch-to-go, serving an array of organic coffee, freshly made fruit and vegetable juices and rye bread sandwiches. Our challenge was to eat a sandwich, drink a smoothie and finish a shot of their ginger shot in the shortest time possible!

The third stop was at Xpressflower.com, located at Level 1 too, offering a range of beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers to brighten up anyone’s day. Our challenge was to arrange a bouquet based on a sample in the fastest time possible.

The fourth stop was at Mido Optics, a concept optical shop showcasing collections of eyewear from various designer boutiques, individual top-notch frame makers, and also indulging its customers in the trendiest Korean and Japanese eyewear. Our challenge was to spot 2 different types of sunglasses and wear them for a photo! Kiyoko was on fire and spotted both within a few seconds!

The final stop was at Qoosh Nail Spa, a new manicure and pedicure service, which has opened for business at Level 3 and our challenge was to paint a glittery nail colour onto our partner's hand.

After all 5 stops, we had to run back to the starting point, do a collage featuring all 5 stops and upload it onto Instagram, and OMG~ It was such a challenge because it was all about the fastest fingers first as well as the speed of our data!

I'm happy to say that we won the 5th run of the race, earning ourselves some Wisma Atria shopping vouchers and got ourselves into the Finals! If you noticed, as we go through the challenges, we got more and more wild looking because we were running everywhere trying to be as fast as we can! Haha~ I am so glad that Kiyoko is my partner for this race because she knew where all the stores are and we had such great teamwork!

Can't wait for the finals this Saturday!
