Vecua Honey: Nature Honey Hot Cleansing Gel, Honey Dew Mousse Moisture & Honey Dew Rich & Full Moisture Jelly [Sponsored Review]

Last month, I was invited to Vecua Honey's skincare event held at Haakon where not only were we treated to a scrumptious super healthy salad and their Classic Acai Bowl, but we also got to learn more about the use of Hokkaido Acacia Honey and Hot Spring Water in Vecua Honey's Skincare products!

After a month of using the products, I'm finally ready to share with you my experience using this skincare range. So without further ado, let's get right into it!

VERDICT

Nature Honey Hot Cleansing Gel

This new cleansing gel warms up immediately to create the same relaxing sensation at a facial treatment.

How does it work?
Thick honey gel sticks fast to skin while adding warmth that opens up pores, promotes circulation and whisks away makeup and other impurities. Botanical glycerin leaves the skin supple, hydrated and clear as the gel is rinsed off.

To Use:

Place a moderate amount (about the size of a large cherry) on dry fingertips and massage thoroughly into the skin to remove foundation and other impurities, avoiding the eye and mouth area.
Rinse clean with cool or warm water.

Texture: Thick honey-like gel

Smell: Honey scent

Ingredients:
Water, ethanol, squalane, cetyl ethylhexanoate, dimethicone, diphenyl phenyl trimethylolpropane triisostearate, isotridecyl isononanoate, almond oil, Keshisouekisu, licorice root extract, hesperidin, ceramide 1, ceramide 2, ceramide 3, ceramide 6Ⅱ, soybean sterol, tocopherol up, honey, honey extract, biotin, lentil seed extract, propolis extract, yogurt liquid, royal jelly, royal jelly extract, hot spring water, evening primrose oil, lactobacillus / royal jelly fermentation broth, Lactobacillus / fermented milk, BG, ethylhexyl glycerol, citric acid, sodium acetate 5Na Pentetokuen acid, glycerine, coconut oil alkyl glucosides, sodium chloride, hydrogenated lecithin, phenoxyethanol, perfume

Hmmm~ I like the warming sensation of the cleanser and I use it around my nose before I do my routine blackhead removal for the week. However, I was quite disappointed in its abilities to remove my foundation as shown below. After cleansing and washing it off, I wipe the area with a cotton pad soaked with micellar water and it is obvious that I still had foundation left on my skin. Hence, I would recommend using a proper makeup removal first prior to the use of this cleanser or to only use this to remove very light makeup.

Vecua Honey Honey Dew Mousse Moisture
Limited edition

Combat a lack of skin moisture with this essence that is velvety in texture, and contains rich Hokkaido acacia honey and milk-derived ceramides. The smooth texture forms a barrier to protect the skin while delivering moisture to it and promotes skin clarity.

To Use:

Use this essence after a toner/ softener lotion. Apply essence (size of a cherry) on the entire face, then follow with your usual moisturiser.

Out of the 3 products, this is my favourite one out of the lot. I like how despite its mousse-like texture, it was well absorbed by the skin and left my skin feeling hydrated. A small pump of it goes a long way, so take note to be careful with the pump! It's also light enough that it doesn't feel sticky once absorbed, perfect for a climate like Singapore.

Honey Dew Rich & Full Moisture Jelly
Limited edition

The essence gel cream firmly moisturises and delivers concentrated ingredients into the bare skin. Its jelly-like dense texture, which stores rich moisture and Hokkaido acacia honey, wraps the skin comfortably overnight while you are resting. When it is applied in the day, the gel cream allows the blockage of ultraviolet light from damaging the skin layer. Cease worrying about dry skin with this gel cream, and let the subtle honey scent boost your mood.

To Use:

After washing and cleansing the skin, take an appropriate amount (large pearl-size) and apply it on the entire face.
At the same time, pat and massage the gel cream on your face so it gets absorbed by the skin.

Texture: Jelly-like gel

Smell: Foral honey scent

Ingredients:
Water , glycerin , propanediol , diglycerol , DPG, Coptis root extract , chamomile flower extract , licorice root extract , pomegranate seed oil , shea butter , carrot root extract , honey , royal jelly extract , ( acrylates / alkyl acrylate (C10-30 ) ) cross polymer , BG, PEG-400, PPG-6 decyltetradeceth -30 , xanthan gum , soybean oil , hydroxide K, oxybenzone -4 , phenoxyethanol , methylparaben , fragrance

Cost: $38

I found this gel too sticky for Singapore's climate as a moisturising cream for the day and too sticky to have it on my skin as an overnight treatment. That being said, it gets absorbed relatively fast when used in a moderate amount. But now, I use it as a quick pick-me-up whenever my skin looks a little dehydrated, by laying on a thick layer onto my skin for 15 minutes before rinsing off because I personally don't like products leaving a sticky sensation on my skin.

And that brings me to the end of my review if you wish to test this product out for yourself feel free to head down to Raffles Holland V where the Beauty Kitchen by FaceBistro is!
