Face Inc: Correct Series Acne Treatment, Blemish Essence, Blemish Concentrate [Sponsored Review]

Hi Ladies,
I'm not too sure if this applies to you but whenever I have on makeup for a whole day of work, I'll end up with a few new blemishes and clogged pores after. With the past of having acne, I'm grateful that I've passed that horrible phase but it's still unpleasant to have new breakouts like pimples, white heads and even blackheads every day!

Based on Face Inc, our sebaceous glands have a tendency to go into overdrive producing more sweat and sebum due to our sudden changing temperatures (from cool air-conditioned places to warm outdoors) and environmental pollutants which lead to clogged pores, dreaded pimples and blackheads. But now, with the help from The Face Inc, hot weather does not always have to result in greasy skin and angry red spots.

Developed by dermatologists and French researchers to be used in the second step of The Face Inc's unique Clear, Correct, Rejuvenate and Protect four-step skincare system, the brand's three-step Blemish Control system - Acne Treatment, Blemish Essence and Blemish Concentrate- works in perfect synergy to treat pimples and acnes, clear pores and control sebum production to keep blemishes at bay, even in sweltering weather conditions.

More than just skincare products, The Face Inc's formulations contain a higher concentration of active ingredients than over-the-counter items and are created to deliver a myriad of benefits in a streamlined four-step skincare ritual of Clear, Correct, Rejuvenate and Protect. Formulated to complement one another to deliver the best results, each product category in the brand's four-step routine is colour-coded and clearly labelled with Roman numerals from one to four, so customers know exactly the sequence of usage for the optimal skincare experience.

To assist customers in selecting the best skin care regime, the dermatologists at The Face Inc have developed a detailed online questionnaire, personified by a virtual Dr. Rei. Through a structured series of questions aided by pictures, the intelligent online service analyses individual skin condition and precisely customises a range of products specific to the skin concerns of the customer, taking away any guesswork and the need to self-prescribe.

Here's my analysis:

Your skin is generally healthy. Because of some active oil glands, your pores tend to clog easily. You are recommended to take preventive measures to avoid skin problems and help cure existing issues. Vibrant skin with a high metabolism and rapid cell growth. Your lifestyle can determine your skin condition.

Your skin needs help to stop fatty section, calming the overactive oil glands and management of whiteheads, blackheads and breakout. There is no necessity for diet restrictions but managing stress is key. Minimal use of makeup is recommended. Oil secreted from hair follicles also contribute to breakouts so try to keep hair away from the face. Avoid picking pimples to minimise scarring.

About 10% of our population suffers from hereditary hyperpigmentation. The common cause of it is the abnormal production of melanin (dark pigment). However, melanin is not all bad as it is responsible for the dark (black) colour of hair, eyelashes and eyes. Thus, do not cut off melanin production completely but manage its level. Eat foods and fruits rich in Vitamin C and glutathione as they inhibit the overproduction of melanin. Apply sunblock daily.

Out of all 3 products, this Acne treatment showed the most obvious results after use with a reduction in redness and a reduction in the blemishes that occurs around my troubled areas.

That being said, this has the strongest scent of the Tea Tree Oil content out of all the products, so it might be something you may want to consider if you don't like the smell of it.

I find that it does leave a slightly sticky sensation on the skin after use and it would take a while for it to be completely dry. Personally, this isn't anything negative for me because I took advantage of that slight stickiness to layer on my powder foundation.

Blemish Essence

This Blemish Essence is formulated to complement the former by clearing pores to prevent future breakouts, and reduce and prevent the appearance of comedones (blackheads and whiteheads). In addition to antiseptic Tea Tree Oil, the Essence also contains Green Tea Extract, derived from the leaves of Camellia sinensis. Naturally rich in antioxidants with a cell-protecting function, Green Tea Extract is also anti-inflammatory. For the best results, gently apply a thin layer of the clear Essence after treating blemishes over clogged pores, oily T-zone and affected areas.

I couldn't observe much improvement after use, I was still getting new breakouts after each day. The only thing I noticed was that my skin was less oily after use.

Blemish Concentrate

This works deeply to control the production of sebum so that pores stay clean and clear. In addition to Tea Tree Oil, the essence contains Zinc PCA, a compound of the natural essential mineral that has been shown to be highly effective in regulating active sebaceous glands and controlling the occurrence of comedones. In addition, Zinc PCA also moisturises and softens skin. The Blemish Concentrate also contains Chrysanthemum Flower and Jojoba Seed Oil Extracts, which are both anti-inflammatory agents, to provide an extra soothing effect for people with very oily and irritated skin. Regular use of the Blemish Concentrate will result in less oily and clearer skin.

Shake before use, apply a thin layer evenly over the affected area.

I didn't notice much difference with this product too, I was still getting new breakouts but there is a reduction in sebum product with this more so than the Blemish Essence. I also like how it dries off leaving my skin feeling softer and smoother after use.
